Interior Design
We were brought into this home to create a design plan that would tell a cohesive story of contemporary design from room to room. This home has expansive views of the Front Range from many rooms, particularly the double story windows in the living room, so we wanted to add emphasis there with a quiet palette to reflect the views. The living room furniture layout required a balance of scale and proportions given it's scale and the client's desire to maximize seating toward these views. We remodeled the kitchen using textures and color that reflect the snow capped mountain backdrop and updated with brass accent lighting and plumbing fixtures, mixing metals for more visual interest. We used accent colors pulled from the original artwork above the bed through the primary bedroom, adding visual punch to the light bed and drapery. The dining room is a personal favorite. An antique-inspired pine dining table was commissioned from a wood craftsman and we decided to balance modern and traditional forms using cane back dining chairs, a metal and glass china cabinet and plaster chandelier.
